Working as a Chartered Accountant for over 20 years, Angela specialises in tax and business advisory services. She really enjoys assisting her client’s to achieve their goals with a range of services from start-up strategies to cash flow and budgeting, restructuring and succession planning.
As well as assisting clients in tax and accounting, Angela enjoys supporting businesses with their organisational culture through interactive sessions which focus on building and strengthening internal relationships thereby contributing to success, both on bottom line and through staff development.
You will find Ang and her family camping, fishing and waterskiing when the weather is warm, while in winter she swaps her water skis for snow skis (and a glass of red) and has fun on the snowfields both locally and internationally.
Simon has over 20 years experience providing accounting and advisory services to a wide range of clients.
From personal taxation to providing hands on assistance to many varied small businesses, Simon will ensure you get the best outcome. Simon specialises in Cash Flow, Tax Preparation, Business Planning, Accounting, and Tax Accounting.
He enjoys advising small to medium businesses, and in particular, specialising in the seafood, retail and transport industries.
Simon particularly enjoys assisting clients with business startup and ongoing development, as he sees this as a opportunity to add significant value and build strong and lasting relationships.
Simon has a strong connection with the Flinders Island community, with a number trips to the island each year.

Sophie has over 16 years experience in Accounting, Taxation, SMSF and Business Advisory.
She is passionate about working with her clients to build their businesses, create new opportunities and gain efficiencies through the provision of timely and quality advice, that is specific to her clients individual financial needs.
Sophie enjoys working with small to medium businesses, helping them with everything from tax planning, cash flow strategies, budgeting, structuring, succession planning and more.
Sophie specialises in Superannuation and has a Diploma of Financial Planning and also holds a limited AFSL Licence (financial planning).
Sophie lives in Deloraine and is located in our Deloraine office on Thursdays, or by appointment.
In her spare time, Sophie enjoys spending time with her young family including coaching their junior sporting teams and playing taxi driver.
Rodney is a Chartered Accountant who started working before computers were part of everyday work life! He has had a long and successful career in Tasmania, and has been in a Partner or Managing Partner role since 1983.
His interest areas, extensive expertise and experience involve most commercial business sectors and advisory areas. Examples include valuations, buying and selling businesses, strategic planning, business and estate planning, general financial business and taxation advice.
Rodney's client experiences are diverse and range from small family businesses to larger, significant local Tasmanian businesses. He particularly enjoys assisting and advising family business transitions across generations, business start ups and development. Industries he has worked closely with are retail, tourism and hospitality, forestry, farming, professional services, manufacturing and many others.
Rodney enjoys assisting clients and the ALA team on specialty projects.
In his spare time he enjoys travelling, fishing, golf and fits in as much living as possible.
Nathan has been working in the financial planning industry since 1998 after graduating from the University of Tasmania.
He has diverse experience working with clients within an integrated Business Services and Financial Advisory practice ranging from individuals starting their wealth accumulation journey through to business owners selling their businesses and entering retirement.
Nathan is excited to have recently joined the ALA Partners Group to establish ALA Investment Advisors as a locally owned business with a unique offering that truly puts client’s interests first.
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys the outdoors being an avid boating, fishing, diving and stand up paddle boarding enthusiast.
Susan qualified as a Chartered Accountant over 40 years ago, so has obviously been part of a vast period of change within the accounting profession. Legislative and technological changes over this period have seen huge differences in the way in which we educate ourselves, update our skill sets and pass our knowledge on through helping our clients to meet their compliance requirements and also their financial goals.
Susan has the skills and knowledge in the small to medium business sphere in business advisory accounting and income tax matters including use of software such as Xero and MYOB. She is passionate about developing and maintaining relationships with clients and loves catching up with clients as they visit for their annual personal tax return preparation. Some of these relationships go back to her early days at work.
With 2 adult children (and grandchildren) living interstate and overseas, travel is high on the list of leisure activities, as is gardening, sewing, trying out new eateries and just generally chilling out reading or listening to music.
Shalissa has been working in the accounting industry for over 10 years, with a focus on Accounting and Taxation.
She really enjoys assisting small businesses to meet their compliance needs and has vast experience in cash flow forecasting and budgeting, which she finds is a great way to help clients determine their financial goals and to grow their business. She has knowledge across many industries, but has developed a passion for the building industry.
Shalissa particularly enjoys assisting clients with starting up their business and helping them get the most out of their accounting software. She can provide ongoing development to maximise your knowledge and make sure you are using the right software for your business and needs.
Outside of work, you will find Shalissa at the beach watching the surf, camping and exploring Tasmania as much as possible with her husband.
Michael has over 17 years experience working in public accounting firms in Launceston.
Whether it be software support, preparation of activity statements, financial statements and income tax returns for individuals or businesses, Michael prides himself on the quality of his work and his relationships with his clients.
In his spare time Michael enjoys tennis, walking his dog, cooking, the theatre and cinema, and has a keen passion for travel and exploring the world.
A fresh faced qualified Accountant, Caitlyn has over 3 years of experience within the public industry. She relishes taking on a challenge, evidenced by her current undertaking of the Chartered Accountant program.
Specialising in tax and business advisory services, Caitlyn enjoys helping clients achieving their goals through cashflow forecasting, budgeting and tax planning, She is also happy to assist with all of your accounting software needs, with particular involvement with Xero as a Certified Advisor. Areas of particular interest to Caitlyn include the agricultural and forestry industries.
Outside of her time spent in the office or studying, Caitlyn enjoys spending time at the beach, travelling both locally and internationally, and playing footy for the North Launceston Football Club.
Brianna is currently undergoing her Chartered Accountant certification and has experience in compliance, accounting software packages and working alongside our Partners, to get the best outcome for clients.
She enjoys the diversity of her work and meeting with clients to give a more personal experience.
Bree likes getting outside during her time off and will try most things such as basketball, netball and sailing.
Georgie has recently moved from Hobart after completing her Batchelor of Business. With over two and a half years of experience practising in a firm, Georgie has specialised in small business compliance and taxation. She relishes the opportunity to engage with clients and assist them with their goals and business needs. Building client relationships is a strong passion of hers.
Georgie loves a challenge and is always looking to develop, as a result she will be undertaking the Charted Accountants Program in 2020.
Outside of the work environment, Georgie loves spending time outdoors and having a wine with friends and family.
Abbey is a university student studying Accounting at the University of Tasmania. She joined ALA Partners in 2018 during her first year of studies and is thoroughly enjoying the practical learning that the firm provides.
Abbey comes from a customer service background where she has over 6 years experience in the industry and is dedicated to pleasing clients.
As well as Accounting, Abbey also studies Human Resource Management and is passionate about organisational culture and its importance in a business.
Abbey currently specialises in Income Tax Return and BAS preparation, as well as Small Business Tax Compliance.

In her spare time that isn’t used keeping up with her studies, Abbey loves spending time with family and friends and seeing live music around the State.
Cecelia originally comes from Brisbane where she began her career within the Accounting industry.
She enjoys assisting clients with Bookkeeping, Business Activity Statement Preparation and growing their business. She is happy to assist with accounting software needs, particularly with Xero as a Certified Advisor.
Outside of work, Cecelia enjoys bushwalking, music and theatre and spending quality time with her young family.
Dale has worked in the accounting and financial planning industry for the past 20 years and has developed a wide skill set, working in both administration and paraplanning during that time.
She currently works alongside Angela and Sophie in a Personal Assistant role, and is responsible for administering our clients’ corporate compliance records. Her diligence, efficiency and attention to detail makes her an integral part of our team.
Outside of the office Dale can be found at one of her children’s many sporting activities and in her free time she enjoys waterskiing, camping, netball & spending time with friends & family.
Ally is a motivated and energetic member of the ALA team who possesses fantastic interpersonal skills and enjoys the challenge of meeting deadlines and targets.
She has worked in administration within accounting firms nearly all of her working life, with her roles varying from Office Junior to Personal Assistant, so her skills are vast and varied. Most recently she finds herself assisting the ALA Partners and staff in a business development support role.
In her spare time, Ally enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters boating, camping and enjoying the great outdoors.
Gill is our 'Director of First Impressions', greeting clients face to face and over the phone, with her cheery disposition.
With over 25 years in the administration game, Gill is well equipped to handle all the various tasks asked of her. Gill is always eager to assist and has had a huge positive impact on our clients with her polite, friendly and enthusiastic approach.
In her spare time Gill enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and walking her Dalmatian, Bingham.
Sarah has worked in the administration industry for in excess of 8 years, and has completed her Certificate III & IV in Business Administration, and last year completed a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping.
Sarah primarily works alongside Richard, in a Personal Assistant role, together with providing support in the bookkeeping space and is Xero certified.
In her spare time she loves spending time with her partner Tom and their 3 dogs, renovating their house and going to the gym.
Vikki has 25 years of administrative experience under her belt, the bulk of which has been spent in the accounting industry. She has worked in all divisions making her an amazing all-rounder with an extensive knowledge base.
She assists James and Aaron in the Lending and Finance team and brings her positive attitude, good sense of humour and her exceptional organisational skills to work every day.
Vikki considers herself a bit of a foodie and enjoys cooking and entertaining for family and friends, as well as eating out. To work off those calories she loves hiking/bushwalking with her family.
